Scientific research laboratories usually have the characteristics of higher risk of experimental environment and conditions,more complicated experimental items and contents,more unknown factors in the experimental process,and most students independently carry out experiments. Therefore, potential laboratories safety issues are even more pronounced. Based on the operational characteristics of scientific research laboratories and the essential causes of accidents in recent years, the paper analyzes the causes, starting conditions and control measures that may cause laboratory accidents and puts forward the establishment of a systematic safety management system and an operational safety standards system of scientific research laboratories,which strives to be intrinsically safe and prevents laboratories accidents in the first place.
