PRI is first research Institute in China to develop alpha - olefin related technology, involved two research directions of series alpha - olefin synthesis and high added-value of alpha-olefin, accumulated rich experience in catalyst, process development and polymerization reaction engineering during 30 years history.PRI have multiple full-process pilot plant such as hexene-1/PAO/ PE ,which is support for technology research and development strongly.
Complete set of hexene-1 technology, which integrates trimerization catalyst, full-process process and high efficiency reactor since 1998, has gone through laboratory research, small test, pilot and industrial test, which have been successfully industrialized for twice. This technology could be characterized as low Matter/energy consumption, high Catalytic efficiency, short process and high quality hexene-1 products, which could meet the most requirements of various polyethylene devices.
Synthesis technology of Poly alpha-olefin (PAO) ,which is known as â £ based oil ,is one of research directions in alpha-olefins application for PRI. PRIâs PAO technology adopts the self-developed full-process technology, which has the characteristics of narrow molecular weight distribution, continuous operation, and cleaning process, could produce PAO 4, PAO 6, PAO 8 and other low viscosity serial product.
In the future, PRI will expand the existing technology in alpha-olefin synthesis and application field , strengthen foreign cooperation.
