How Well Are Our Efforts in Process Safety Improvement Working?

This presentation will show updated statistics on accidents in general and discuss the trends. Overall, industry is improving in that there are fewer reportable incidents and deaths as the years roll on. Can we relax based on this performance? Answers: NO, we still have significant monetary losses annually, and NO, there are still significant number of deaths due to falls and transportation - something that some may not consider in typical hazards analysis. The overall purpose is to inform the loss prevention division audience of an overview of current accident statistics and for this audience to walk away knowledgeable about the trends.
