Tutorial in Fire Safety & Emergency Management

When you think of Process Safety what comes to your mind? For a lot of people it’s Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change or even Process Technology. Often times when facilities grow, chemistry changes and people transition to different roles, the area of Fire Safety & Emergency Management can receive less attention than needed to ensure systems and processes are adequate when needed. This oral presentation will provide an overview of why fire safety and emergency response systems are essential in a PSM facility and something that should not be taken for granted. This presentation includes best practices of fire safety and emergency response systems along with real world case studies from two experienced veterans in the high hazard chemical, nuclear and petrochemical industry.
