Based on the practice of risk identification and evaluation in chemical laboratories, the types and characteristics of chemical laboratory safety risks are analyzed, and a framework model of risk existence is proposed. The existing risk classification standards are evaluated, and the individual differences of risk identification and evaluation results and the uncertainty of accident occurrence are pointed out. This paper expounds the relationship between risks and hidden dangers, analyses the main risk sources and possible hidden dangers in chemical laboratories, and puts forward the control elements and concrete measures in view of the risks of unsafe human behavior, unsafe state of equipment, environmental defects and management deficiencies. From the perspective of process safety, it expounds that chemical laboratories should strengthen change management, implement independent management and emphasize intrinsic safety.
