Perspectives on Process Safety from Around the World consists of sessions that strive to provide a space for different regions around the world to get together at the Global Congress and discuss the issues that are significantly impacting the development of Process Safety in their regions, considering the particular needs of language, and cultural characteristics of each one.

Process Safety in Mining, Minerals, and Metals
This session on Risk Based Process Safety Management is tailored for Mining, Metals, and Metallurgy process safety management implementation, as well as the sharing of experiences and learnings at the 21st GCPS. This session will serve as a pivotal forum for industry leaders and experts to explore the unique challenges and innovative solutions within the Mining, Metals, and Metallurgy sectors' process safety management framework. From addressing the complexities of operational risk assessments in mining, metals processing, and metallurgical operations to leveraging process safety, performance, and product quality delivered to customers at the forefront, participants can expect insights into integrating robust process safety protocols with cutting-edge technologies. Join us as we navigate the crucial intersection of process safety, sustainability, and operational excellence, paving the way for safer and more resilient practices in Mining, Metals, and Metallurgy.
Process Safety Activities in China
This session will focus on process safety activities in China. The Chinese culture has its characteristics compared with the developed countries, the PSM is just a pretty new term issued by Chinese government even though most enterprises have their own HSE management system. The papers combined with latest PSM principle into the existing enterprises are highly recommended. The incorporation of US PSM with Chinese culture for some joint ventures will be useful to promote the development of PSM and prevent the major incidents in China.
Process Safety Activities in Latin America (in Portuguese and Spanish)
These sessions will be focused on topics that are impacting Latin America, where many countries are adopting accidents prevention programs. The main topics for these sessions are those based on the RBPS pillars (Commit to process safety, Understanding hazards and risk, Manage risk and, Learn from experience) as well as process safety regulations in Latin America. These sessions provide a space to present in Portuguese and Spanish.
