The study was carried out with Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics(CPFD) using Multiphase Particle in Cell (MP-PIC) method for predicting pneumatic conveying characteristics. Simulation was performed on horizontal, vertical, vertical upward, and vertical downward circular pipes. Particle diameter was varied 50 to 500 μm and particle density was varied 1000 to 3000 kg/m3. Gas velocity was varied from 1 to 15 m/s and solid loading was varied from 1 to 100. Simulation results were compared with the modeling data presented in the previous literature and the optimal drag model was confirmed. Relation of Gas velocity, solid loading and shape of conveying line(horizontal, vertical, vertical upward, and vertical downward) to pressure drop was confirmed and the flow regime according to each condition was confirmed.
