In this paper, non-adsorbed glass bead and highly absorptive FCC were used as experimental media, respectively, using N2 and CO2 as carrier gases to study the powder's own physical properties and the difference of carrier gas properties for powder aeration and fluidization. The FT4 powder Rheometer was used to test the fluidization state under the the minimum fluidization velocity (Umf) and the uniform expansion fluidization phase. The influence of carrier gas properties on the fluidity of aerated/fluidized powders was analyzed. At the same time, the difference between the inflated state and the fluidization of the bed in the fluidized state was combined with the bed stress analysis. The stress distribution was used to reveal the mechanism of the influence of different carrier gases on the fluidization properties of the powder.
