The effect of reaction temperature and regeneration temperature of DME carbonylation to MA reaction on regeneration of spray-drying ferrierite catalysts was investigated. A zeolite-based spray drying ferrierite (S-FER) belongs to the Geldart A classification (dp =51.2 μm, ρs =1029 kg/m3) and 0.01 kg of S-FER was loaded in the reactor (I.D. = 0.0243 m, h= 0.5 m). The reaction was conducted by changing the reaction temperature (240-270℃) while fixing the pressure = 50 bar, the reaction gas volume fraction CO/DME/N2 = 0.2/0.01/0.79, space velocity = 1250 L/kgcat/h, and experiment time = 20 h. For the regeneration, air was used, and regeneration temperature was changed from 300- 600℃, while fixing space velocity = 1000 L/kgcat/h, pressure = 50 bar, regeneration time = 6 h, temperature ramping rate= 1°C/min. Although reaction temperature was changed from 240℃ to 270℃, recovery of catalysts activity was not changed significantly. On the other hand, the regeneration temperature had a great effect on the recovery of catalysts recovery. When the regeneration temperature was 600℃, the recovery of catalysts activity was 43%. However, the recovery of catalysts activity close to 99%, when the regeneration temperature was 500℃.
