RAPID Workshop Info
Interactive roadmapping sessions to identify gaps in the food processing that could be addressed by advanced manufacturing, education & workforce development, or community related services. As food ingredient manufacturing is a very energy intensive industry, a roadmap to examine the opportunities for using this technology to reduce energy use could be very useful for engineers working in this field.
The workshop will review technologies related to heating, drying, separation, and freezing processes.
Virtual Workshop#1
In this session, the group will review the roadmapping categories, define the metrics & future vision, and begin the discussion on technical challenges for each category.
Date/Time TBD
Workshop#2
This in person session will take place at the 2022 AIChE Annual Meeting. The group will continue the discussion on technical challenges for each category, and then prioritize the gaps using the metrics and future vision.
