Digitalisation tools for efficient development of novel products and their robust manufacturing processes: development and democratisation

In this talk we will provide an overview of modelling tools and use cases covering product and process development at different length scales, viz solvent selection, VLE predictions, in-vivo absorption, characterising kinetics (reaction, crystallization, drying. etc.), assessing impact of hydrodynamics on those kinetics and ultimately product quality and other process KPIs. We will also show examples where the digital twin that supported product and process development is used for operator training, soft sensing, nonlinear model predictive control, etc.
