Most of industry, regulators, politic and media are referring to sustainability, according from where you are coming from (academic, scientist, political, media, industry, no governmental organization,...) and where is your target (carbon print or environmental toxicology,...), everyone have a different position taking into account that this very widespread sustainability wording is not well defined.

For some it is only a question of carbon footprint at geological scale completely forgetting the today immediate effect on the substance on human health and environment. In this proposal we are going to focus more on the environmental toxicology screening hazard strategy to consider to lead to new minimize hazardous substance.

As we are talking screening which mean rapid and low cost testing, the strategy proposed is starting from the Persistency and Bioaccumulable and Toxic (PBT, human toxicology being part of the “T”) which is one of the main reason not going further in development of a new substance. Indeed today having a substance fulfilling anyone of those criteria can not be any more place to the generic market (but still on specific one according to risk assessment.
