This session will stress the importance of having “good” thermodynamic physical properties and phase equilibria data, for real-world refinery and chemical plant applications. The focus will be on: (a) “best data / methods practices” to use in modern flowsheeters (b) applying “practical experience” to meet property and phase equilibria “needs” (c) avoiding pitfalls in methods / data selection (d) thinking “out-of-the-box” to design products and processes (e) building awareness of available “state-of-the-art” data / methods resources
