An engineering kinetic model is key for successful scale up of chemical processes. In this presentation, the use of in situ spectroscopy for monitoring chemical process conversion is presented. The use of this tool allows us to determine the kinetic parameters, which can be used in reactor modeling for scale-up. A case study will be presented to elucidate the important parameters to scale-up.
