Enhanced Life of Field Recovery with Subsea Processing



Subsea boosting enables enhanced life of field recovery. Fields producing high vapor content fluids, which challenge efficient multi-phase pumps, can nonetheless be boosted subsea, if subsea separation is implemented. Production fluids from fields with low to medium reservoir pressures (5ksi – 10 ksi) can be treated by conventional gas/liquid separators, with enhanced internal features. Enhanced conventional separators deliver excellent separation efficiency, low complexity and varied supply chain options. At higher pressures multiple conventional separators can be operated in parallel or enhanced multi-pipe technology can be applied. The net result is that boosting technology can be implemented in fields that would otherwise be ineligible. In addition boosting power consumption can be reduced due to the reduction in pump fluid vapor content, lowering production operating costs.
