In this paper, the implementation of a thermophysical properties package for the simulation of acid gas and mercaptan removal using hybrid solvents is discussed. A comprehensive analysis of the thermodynamics, kinetics and mass transfer framework needed for the development of the modeling tool is presented. The main characteristics of the absorption process with hybrid solvents are described using representative simulations of gas treating plants for acid gas and mercaptan removal.
