Optimization of Column Performance - What Subjects to Look at

Over the last few years, significant improvements have been made regarding the development of optimized geometries for random and structured packings as well as mass transfer trays. Beside supplying standard mass transfer products for established column designs Raschig has a wide product portfolio of high quality products for revamp cases or advanced separation technologies. To demonstrate the superior product performance, Raschig has tested their high quality products at Fractionation Research Institute (FRI) in Stillwater Oklahoma and Separation Research Program (SRP) in Austin Texas. Just recently Raschig Super-Rings but also Raschig's high performance Fixed Mini Valve Tray have been tested very successfully. These test results also demonstrated how important it is to apply high quality tower internals if an optimized performance is targeted.
