Session Description:
Energy efficiency is important at all stages in the life cycle of oil refineries and chemical plants. In this year’s session, our focus is Designing Energy Improvements into Projects. We will explore the importance of incorporating energy efficiency into new plant designs and major revamps, and we will consider non-energy factors that can significantly improve the economics of these projects. These concepts will be illustrated by case studies that show how various technologies can improve the energy intensity and the environmental footprint of your site.
Session Chairs:
- Frank Roberto, ExxonMobil
- Vince Torres, University of Texas
