Predicting the behaviour of granular solids in industrial situations poses a strong challenge because of the many complex and interacting factors that influence how a granular system will perform. Continuing progress is needed to advance knowledge and help engineers design and optimise new processes, leading to more efficient and reliably performing plants. Papers concerning experimental, computational or analytical studies providing new scientific findings in support of innovative engineering applications in granular systems are very welcome.
