Workshop on Education in Particle Technology

Industries that commonly employ chemical engineers often design and operate processes involving powders, slurries, and aerosols. Chemical engineers are well trained in processing of gases and liquids but training on handling, transport, and storage of particulate materials is often covered superficially and left for graduate education or training by employers. In this session we encourage discussions of case studies, example course content, the need for training in particle technology, and/or ways to add particle technologies to the ChE curriculum. We encourage academics and industrial participation.
