Joost Böggemann is a Dutch national, who has been living in the US since May 2014. Joost has worked for Inashco since 2011. Trained as a merchant marine officer, Joost sailed as a mate and engineer. In 2000, he received an MBA from Nyenrode University. Mr. Böggemann is passionate about international sustainable projects. Joost spent 8 years working for Siemens constructing power-plants and as project manager of container cranes. Later on, he executed a landfill-gas project in China. Joost has also worked on various projects as an independent contractor.
Joost joined Inashco in its start-up phase in Europe with approximately 15 employees. Since, he has been focused on facilitating the start-up and growth of Inashco North America, the US subsidiary based in Annapolis Maryland where he currently leads the Business Development activities. Over the last 5 years, Inashco North America has started up 3 plants (>1 million tons). Projects in development will add another 500,000 tons. The US-based team rapidly expanded to 17 direct and 30 JV-colleagues with Eco-Recovery Solutions (a Wheelabrator/Inashco JV company). With 250 colleagues and 5 million tons of ash under contract worldwide, Inashco is positioned to be the global leader in ‘responsible ash management’!
