Logistic Simulation of Sites for Short Term Scheduling in the Oil Industry

A simulator framework is extended here with the logistic simulation of sites in the oil industry. The simulation system is already actively used in the MOL Plc which is a major regional oil company in Central Europe. The system assists the short term planning of the product movements in the pipelines by verifying the feasibility of the plan. Now, the simulator is extended by the inner logistics, the pipeline model of the sites. Until now sites were handled without any inner structure. It was assumed that a product from a tank always can be transported to the required main (outer) pipeline. Now the simulator systematically looks over possible the transportation routes within the site and warn us if there is a problem. It is important to highlight that though the inner pipe network is much shorter than the outer one, the inner network is significantly more complex.
