Admission to all sessions, scheduled meals, breaks, networking events and conference proceedings, as well as Wi-Fi throughout the conference.
- A 4-night stay ( June 11, 2023 - June 14, 2023) at the Marina Bay Sands luxury Resort in Singapore.
- Note: Due to a high level of interest in the conference, hotel reservations at the Marina Bay Sands are limited. We encourage you to register as soon as possible. If rooms at the Marina Bay Sands sell out, your conference registration will include 4 room nights at a nearby, comparable hotel.
- Note: if you need a hotel room outside of the 4 nights included with registration, please contact IMES@aiche.org.

Registration FAQs
Visa Procedures
Singapore entry visa is required only by nationals of countries listed on the ICA website. If you are planning to attend the Metabolic Engineering Conference and need a visa, we encourage you to visit the ICA Web Page to check whether your country of citizenship requires a visa to enter Singapore and the procedures to obtain one.
If you determine that a visa is required for your case, note that there is no need to apply for a business visa as attendees are entering Singapore for a scientific conference and not engaging in business dealings, negotiations, nor getting paid.
Additionally, if applying for a visa, you will need an invitation letter from us and a completed form V39A to apply. Please reach out to us at invitationletters@aiche.org if you require a letter and if you need us to fill out the Local Contact information for the form.
All foreign visitors entering Singapore must complete an SG Arrival Card up to 3 days before arrival (including day of arrival), before entering the country.
Please note that AIChE cannot contact government officials on your behalf.
For invitation letters, please send the following information to invitationletters@aiche.org:
- Name of event
- Proof of registration
- Full Name
- Company/University
- Address
- Date of Birth
- Passport Number
- Passport Expiration Date
Letters will be sent via email as PDFs and will contain general event information such as dates and venues. If more specific event information is required, please let us know.
Certificates and Professional Development Hours (PDH)
All conference attendees are qualified to receive Professional Development Hours (PDH). You will receive 8 PDH for each of the days that you attended the conference/short courses.
You will be able to request or download a letter or certificate of participation after the meeting has concluded. There are two ways to obtain these documents:
- Conference Speakers and Chairs can generate a letter and certificate of participation via their Confex Gateway. If you need help accessing Confex, please contact programming@aiche.org
- Attendees and other participants can contact certificates@aiche.org to obtain a letter and/or certificate.

Registration Policy
AIChE's meeting registration policy is based on the premise that AIChE's conferences and meetings are amongst the most prestigious and best attended chemical engineering conferences in the world. Therefore, all participants, including speakers (invited or accepted through the Call for Abstracts), are expected to register and pay the appropriate registration fee.
