On September 8, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) announced that Darlene S. Schuster, PhD, will retire as CEO and Executive Director, effective October 31, 2024. AIChE's Board of Directors will begin a nationwide search for a new CEO to execute the organization's long-range growth strategy, including the ongoing transformation of the Institute to serve the diverse interests of chemical engineering professionals.
