Drug turns cancer protein into a killer

Stanford biochemists Jerry Crabtree and Nathanael Gray, co-founders of Shenandoah Therapeutics, have disclosed details about a new drug they developed using a concept called transcriptional/epigenetic chemical inducers of proximity. Data reported in Nature showed how the drug can reverse the effect of a protein that usually promotes B cell lymphoma growth into a protein that can kill cancer cells, although the drug has only been evaluated in cells and mice.
