Yesterday during the Chem-E-Car inspection, we had an opportunity to visit with and interview a few teams participating in the 2011 Chem-E-Car Competition. First, we interviewed Carnegie Mellon University, next year's Annual Student Conference hosts,
Minneapolis, the City of Lakes, is a great location for the Annual Student Conference and the Annual Meeting for AIChE. Why? Well, not only is Minneapolis one of the top 10 greenest cities but is also the home of 3M and General Mills, and the origin of the commercial flour industry in the United States.
At 10am this morning more than 1,100 chemical engineering students were greeted by AIChE President Maria Burka, Student Chapters Committee Chair Chris Williams, ESC Chair David Monteiro, and Chem-E-Car Committee Member Skip Rochefort to kick off the 2011 Student Conference Welcome Ceremony in Minneapolis.
This year's AIChE Annual Meeting promises to be huge with a multitude of fantastic events happening at once. ChEnected plans to be on location, but we can't catch everything. That's why we're asking 2011 AIChE Annual attendees to upload their meeting videos on YouTube as response to this video.
