65-CX flexible PVC tubing

The 65-CX is non-toxic, laboratory-grade, flexible PVC tubing that is chemically resistant to many common fluids, including bleach, sulfuric acid and nitric acid. The material is soft (65 durometer Shore A) and very flexible, allowing tight-curvature bends and easy placement over barbed fittings. With an operating temperature range of   –49°F to 140°F and an elongation of 375%, this PVC tubing offers an alternative to Tygon tubing. All ingredients used in 65-CX are FDA-sanctioned for use in food contact applications.

Series I pump

The latest upgrade to the Series I pump is Ryton engineering thermoplastic, which joins the existing line of polyester and polypropylene polymers for the pump’s internal materials of construction. The addition of Ryton extends the list of chemicals that can be pumped and increases the system’s upper-temperature capabilities. Series I features Type 316 stainless steel body parts with thermoplastic internal parts that are close coupled to electric, hydraulic and pneumatic motors, as well as to gasoline engines.

Flask Dancer Orbital Shaker

The Flask Dancer Orbital Shaker provides a smooth horizontal mixing motion with a smooth soft start. It can be programmed to operate unattended for periods up to 99 hr at speeds from 50 to 300 rpm. Its digital timer can be programmed for a specific run time. Once the run is complete, the unit will stop and sound an alarm to notify the user. The unit can be operated in many environments, including a cold room and an incubator. Its four interchangeable platforms can accommodate a wide variety of bottles, flasks, tubes and beakers.

microAnalyzer

Designed for OEM end-user products, the microAnalyzer combines Sionex’s patented microDMx technology with a miniaturized gas chromatographic module, enabling sample collection, sample separation, and detection and identification of compounds with selectivity and sensitivity down to parts-per-trillion levels. Analysis is based on the ionic compounds’ differential mobilities through the sensor chip, which are a function of charge, mass and cross-sectional area. By applying an RF or DC field to the sensor chip, one can make the filter select a chosen ion or collection of ions.

AquaProbe 1 and 2 insertion electromagnetic flowmeters

Making their U.S. debut, AquaProbe 1 and 2 insertion electromagnetic flowmeters are debuting as a cost-effective alternative to full-bore meters as well as a convenient way to perform surveys on existing lines and meters. Intended for permanent installations where power is available, AquaProbe 1 connects with the company’s MagMaster transmitter. It offers 4–20-mA analog output and HART communication options. AquaProbe 2, powered by a battery pack, primarily serves temporary installations, such as checking, verifying and certifying meters.

Micro Motion ELITE flowmeter

Earlier versions of the Micro Motion ELITE flowmeter provide flow measurements with ±0.10% accuracy. In this latest rendition, accuracy is ±0.05% for mass and volumetric flow, and up to ±0.0002 g/cm3 for density — representing a two-fold improvement in density performance. The device is designed for chemical dosing, high-value custody transfer and other applications where precise measurement is critical. In addition, overall meter stability is boosted to a level that eliminates the need for field zeroing.

SFT-100XW supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) system

The SFT-100XW supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) system applies supercritical fluid techniques to various analyses and processing challenges, as well as quality control/quality analysis (QC/QA), repetitive laboratory analysis, and process development applications. It uses dual sapphire syringe-pump technology to pressurize the stainless steel vessel, which may contain up to 500 mL of fluid at pressures up to 10,000 psi.

ARTEL MVS multichannel verification system

The ARTEL MVS multichannel verification system is a performance assessment and optimization tool designed for automated liquid handlers. It provides information on both the accuracy and precision of volumes transferred by each channel of an automated liquid handler in a single rapid procedure. This latest model has been enhanced to provide improved measurement-data comparability, faster volume verification, and reduced laboratory process variability.

AQUACOUNTER Karl Fischer volumetric titrator (AQV-2100S)

The AQUACOUNTER Karl Fischer volumetric titrator (AQV-2100S) has a wide detection range from 100 ppm to 100%. Its large color LCD screen displays all information relevant to each process, such as a real-time titration curve. Its automatic background-compensation function allows accurate volumetric measurements of trace moisture levels. The instrument can also be converted to either a two-channel volumetric-volumetric titrator or a two-channel volumetric-coulometric titrator.

Optimass 7300 Coriolis mass flowmeter

This tantalum version of the Optimass 7300 Coriolis mass flowmeter handles highly aggressive and corrosive fluids found in the chemical industry. Because the wall thickness of typical Coriolis measuring tubes is significantly less than the process piping they connect to, the meter’s corrosion tolerance is significantly less than that of the associated piping. This tantalum flowmeter uses a single straight-tube design, which is less expensive to produce than earlier twin-bent-tube designs and contains the stress created in a straight tube due to thermal expansion.
