Checkmate DL

The Checkmate DL is a portable, handheld instrument that reads corrosion data from a data logger or remote data collector and then transfers the information to a computer for graphing and analysis. Compared to a portable PC, this instrument is claimed to be a better, safer option for use in hazardous areas classified as Class I, Zone 1 or Class I, Zone 2. Since the transmitter and data logger, which are both located at the data source, are already intrinsically safe and explosionproof, the entire corrosion monitoring system is safe for each step in the process.

Agitators

Top-entry and side-entry agitators, static mixers and other products designed to handle harsh flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) applications are available in stainless steel, high alloys or rubber-covered carbon steel. The corrosion- and erosion resistance found in these materials is an important benefit for abrasive FGD applications. This manufacturer also has the R&D capability to model any FGD mixing application.

2000 HS System

Designed to handle semi-dry, high-solids content material, the 2000 HS System is a cost-effective option for transferring dewatered sludge in wastewater treatment operations. The system is equipped with a twin-screw feeder that includes two self-cleaning, intermeshing feed screws that supply a constant, pressurized feed rate to the system’s G4 Progressing Cavity Pump. The resulting 100% pump cavity fill rate enhances overall system performance and cost efficiency. The twin-screw feeder can run at a separate RPM from the pump, allowing control over the amount of stuffing pressure.

HRC Advanced (HRC-A)

A new in-situ technology, HRC Advanced (HRC-A), time-releases a combination of highly efficient lactic and fatty acids that enhance the near-, mid- and long-term biodegradation of many chlorinated and other contaminants, including industrial degreasers, chlorofluorocarbons, carbon tetrachloride, methylene chloride and a variety of pesticides, explosives and dyes. HRC-A is shipped as a concentrate and mixed onsite with three parts warm water to form a micellular microemulsion, which has greater soil-coverage capacity than comparable products.

ALCHEM Production Platforms

ALCHEM Production Platforms are proprietary processes for the design, development, scaleup and optimization of specific chemical compounds. The ALCHEM Biocatalysis production platform uses special proteins called designer enzymes to transform low-value materials into high-value compounds, while the ALCHEM Biosynthesis production platform harnesses cells to convert simple raw materials into complex high-value molecules.

CoMBo condensate measuring elbow thermostatic sanitary steam trap

Developed specifically for clean steam equipment condensate drainage in the pharmaceutical, bioprocess, electronic, food, beverage and cosmetic industries, the CoMBo condensate measuring elbow thermostatic sanitary steam trap features the firm’s ultra-sensitive bellows that maintain less than 6 in. of condensate backup, instead of the traditional 18 in., for loads ranging from 1 to 27 lb/h for vessels sized up to 40,000 L. The steam trap meets ASME BPE code and has 30–50% higher discharge capacity than standard industry sanitary steam traps. It is available with a 3/4-in.

OptiCell cell-culture system

The OptiCell cell-culture system provides scientists with a device that reduces the time and labor required for experimental steps, such as imaging, cell separation, antibody production, transfection, cloning, shipping of live cells, and short-term cryopreservation. Based on the concept of cell growth on a respiratory active membrane, OptiCell utilizes gas-permeable membranes that enable efficient exchange of O2 and CO2 for optimal cell growth.

Flexeramic structured packing

Designed for acid applications, Flexeramic structured packing provides a lower pressure drop than most other random packings and trays on the market. Composed of corrugated ceramic sheets that are vertically aligned in the packed column, the elements eliminate any horizontal surfaces that may create resistance to fluid flow. This geometric construction reduces the channeling of both liquid and vapor, and provides for more effective contact of sulfuric acid and sulfur trioxide gas.

Modular Filter

Introduced as a cost-effective, bolt-on replacement for medium-flow filters, this modular filter boasts a flexible design that meets a variety of cost needs and performance specifications. A single-base head assembly is mated with the modular components, including a water sensor, electrical heater, visual water bowl, manual priming pump and life indicator (electronic or visual). Additionally, the filter can be used with the company’s Twist & Drain valve, interchangeably between the clear plastic bowl and the spin-on, to reduce maintenance costs.

Flexadux ADC

Flexadux ADC is a medium-weight hose made of an FDA-approved grade of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Suitable for a wide range of air movement, duct cleaning, and fume-control applications, the hose is reinforced with a spring steel-wire helix. Its wide pitch and 9:1 compression ratio allows for tight bending and easy storage. The hose accommodates positive pressure and light vacuum applications at temperatures from 20°F to 160°F, and resists chemicals, weathering, and moisture. Sizes range from 4 in. to 18 in. I.D. and to 25 ft in length.
