Eddie received his BS degree in Chemical Engineering 37 years ago from Virginia Tech and immediately started to work at BASF. The initial fourteen years were spent in manufacturing and engineering positions in Freeport, TX. He added a MChE degree from the University of Houston (part time). Subsequently, 10 years were spent in operations management in Washington, NJ. He moved to Geismar, LA, to engineer, build and start up a new unit; afterwards, he transitioned into process safety where he is currently identified as a Process Safety Expert. He received his CCPSC in 2022. When not at work, Eddie enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, cooking and listening to and playing music.
