Kathy Shell

Kathy is an AIChE Fellow and professional chemical engineer with over 35 years of industry experience. She specializes in the strategic development, implementation, training and auditing of global and site level process safety and risk management systems and process hazard analysis. Kathy was the AIChE S&H Division Walton-Miller Award winner in 2020. She was Chair of the 2018 Global Congress on Process Safety, past Chair of the Process Plant Safety Symposium (PPSS) and ongoing session chair. Kathy is a member of CCPS' Technical Steering Committee and the Safety and Health Division. She is also a member of the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center Steering Committee at Texas A&M University and Trevor Kletz Merit Award winner in 2019. Kathy is President of Process Safety Core Consulting, LLC.
