Marta Dueñas-Díez earned her Chemical Engineering degree from University of Valladolid (Spain), and her Ph.D. in Engineering Cybernetics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Since the Ph.D. Marta has worked in industrial R&D for oil & gas applications, in particular on mathematical modelling and optimization of production systems. She is currently a Sr. Research Scientist at Repsol and a Repsol Project Team Research Associate at Harvard University's "Top-down Synthesis of an Ex-novo Chemical Artificial Living System" project. In the last years, her focus has been on autonomous (native) chemical computation.
