Mary Ellen Ternes

Mary Ellen Ternes is a shareholder within McAfee & Taft’s Environmental Practice Group, and Co-Chair of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Industry Group in the firm’s Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office. As part of her broad environmental law practice, Ms. Ternes assists clients with sustainable and strategic approaches to energy production and use. Ms. Ternes currently chairs the AICHE Chemical Engineering and the Law Forum and the Environmental Division’s Climate Change Section. Ms. Ternes received her J.D. with high honors, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law and her Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Ms. Ternes is listed in the The Best Lawyers in America, Oklahoma Super Lawyers and Top 25 Women Oklahoma Super Lawyers 2010, as well as the International Who's Who of Environment Lawyers. Ms. Ternes is also a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.
