Sebastien Osta is an APC Specialist at TOTAL Petrochemicals & Refining in the Port Arthur refinery, Texas. Sebastien obtained a PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1995, and spent over 10 years with BP, mainly in technical roles focusing on process optimization and Advanced Process Control. In 2002 he began work at consulting companies – AspenTech and IPCOS - where he was implementing APC applications in Europe and the Middle-East on refining, petrochemicals, and gas processes. He joined TOTAL in 2012 as an APC Consultant overseeing project implementation from the corporate office, and moved to the USA in August 2015. Sebastien has been deploying APC projects for over 20 years.
