Valecia Murphy

Valecia has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of TN, Knoxville. She began her career with Dow Chemical (Plaquemine, LA) working in Research and Development. Valecia joined Huntsman (Geismar, LA) in 2002 in the Process Engineering Department. She worked as an engineer for the MDI, Effluent, and Nitrobenzene Units. Valecia transitioned to the Process Safety Department in 2012. She is an Expert PHA Study Leader, SIL Target Assessment Leader, and ISA84 SIS Expert. Her current role at the Geismar site is Sr. PSM Expert.
