The panel discussion held at the FOODIE conference on Sunday, December 2nd, will focus on new processing and manufacturing techniques available to food processors. Panelists from Manufacturing USA Institutes (RAPID, CESMII, etc.) will talk about advanced manufacturing techniques that could be applied to the food industry.
Following this panel discussion, the RAPID Manufacturing Institute will hold a 2-hour problem-discovery workshop to identify the potential role of modular chemical and process intensification (MCPI) in the food industry. This workshop will include a brief overview of RAPID and a look at the institute’s roadmap, followed by small breakout groups to discuss the challenges within food production that could potentially be solved with MCPI.
