October 18, 2022 | 12:00PM - 4:00 ET |Virtual
This event has concluded.
Do you work with process technicians and/or operators in the Fine or Specialty Chemical Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, or Biopharmaceutical Industry? As part of an award from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to respond to the lingering effects of COVID-19 and to prepare for a potential future coronavirus pandemic, AIChE/RAPID aims to develop a virtual technician and operator training program for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, fine chemical and specialty chemical industries. This effort will be a 2-year project, beginning with three roadmapping workshops to identify existing programs and best practices and define future training needs. Read more
The first workshop on October 18th will:
- Bring together stakeholders in technician and operator training.
- Explore existing programs and best practices used by industry and other stakeholders to train technicians and operators.
Why Should You Attend?
- Be a part of the discussion to help define future training offerings.
- Each company represented in the roadmapping sessions will receive a limited number of complimentary seats once training is developed.
- Expand your network by collaborating with others in the process industry training field.
Future workshops include:
- Workshop 2: December 2022 in Cleveland, OH on Current and Future Industry Needs
- Workshop 3: January 2023 in Houston, TX on Prioritizing and Defining Future Training Needs
RAPID seeks to gather key stakeholders across these industry sectors, map current and future industry needs to train a robust pipeline of workers, and, utilizing RAPID’s demonstrated process to roadmap and develop virtual learning content, develop impactful and virtual training courses which would allow current and future workers from any region of the U.S. to up-skill quickly. In the event of future lockdowns, future workers and those in the workforce pipeline could be trained off-site in a safe environment due to the virtual nature of the learning content.
