A new survey of security technology professionals finds that businesses may not be doing enough to prevent hackers from taking control of their operations.
The survey found that only 22% of security professionals felt they had the visibility into their organizations’ operational technology and industrial control systems that they needed to ensure that these systems were safe from cyberattacks. Six out of ten felt that gaps existed in the perception of risk of an attack between frontline cybersecurity teams and the rest of the organization.
And the risks are likely rising, says Ian Bramson, the global head of industrial cybersecurity at the global risk management company ABS Group. Cyberattacks have been seen in Ukraine coinciding with the Russian invasion of the country, and wars fought digitally invite chaos from non-state hackers, too...
