Christine Santos is the Chief Technology Officer of Manus Bio, a US-based manufacturer of complex natural products through fermentation. She has more than two decades of experience in applied research in the areas of biochemical engineering, industrial biotechnology, metabolic engineering, and synthetic biology. As part of the founding team at Manus Bio, Christine has led technology development and scale-up, leading to the successful commercialization of multiple bio-based products which are now produced at metric-ton levels and sold globally to more than 40 countries around the world. She is a co-inventor on 30+ patent families and has published her work in several elite journals, including Science, Nature, and PNAS. Christine obtained her BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford and her PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT.
