John Kang has been CEO of CJ Bio Malaysia, Methionine business unit CJ since 2013. He has been instrumental in leading a R&D project into one of the largest industrial biotech commercialization. Total investment garnered for the project is over 900 mil USD with a strategic partner. Within in 4 years of operation, business has doubled its production capacity and reached full acceptance in marketplace.
In prior experiences, as head of new business development and strategy in CJ, he was involved in developing businesses for animo acids, natural flavor enhancer, and other bio-chemcial opportunities while creating partnerships globally.
He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with BS in chemical engineering, MS from University of Maryland, and received MBA from NYU Stern.
