Loren Perelman, PhD is Vice President of Science at Riffyn, where he leads a team of fellow scientists in deploying the Riffyn SaaS and Consulting offerings for a broad spectrum of biotech and biopharma partners and clients. Prior to Riffyn, Loren was Director of Manufacturing, Quality, and Analytics at Bolt Threads, Senior Scientist at Amyris, and Group Leader of Analytical Services at Nitto Denko Technical Corporation. He has been part of R+D, PD and commercialization efforts in synthetic biology (biofuels, flavors + fragrances), biomaterials (synthetic spider silk), traditional pharma (anti-cancer and siRNA therapies), polymers (drug delivery platforms and composites), and small molecules (therapeutics and materials). Loren's undergraduate work was in Chemistry at Harvey Mudd College and graduate work was in Materials Science at UCSD, under Michael Sailor.
