Due to the hazardous effects on human health and environment, ionic pollutants which include toxic metal ions are creating perturbation throughout the world. The recent study reveals that Metal-organ frameworks (MOF) have surpassing sorption capacities than the regular or common ones. This article focuses on the exchange or sorption capacities of MOF with the materials or substances being interacted and also the treatment of waste water by its application. The future aspects regarding the research and development purpose of MOF and their characteristics and specifications are also discussed.
