The Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) held its first Pakistan Regional Meeting in Karachi last month. Co-hosted with Engro Polymer and Chemicals (EPCL), the meeting had over 100 attendees and 40 companies participating. Along with companies from all over Pakistan, the conference hosted organizations from Germany, Japan, the US, and South Africa.
The meeting opened with remarks from Shakeel Kadri, Executive Director of CCPS, and Jahangir Waheed, Vice President of Manufacturing of EPCL. The inaugural keynote address was given by the CEO of EPCL, Imran Anwer, followed by a day filled with sessions on process safety.
