Materials and Processes for Water Purification and Desalination II

Chair(s)

Krishnan, S., Clarkson University

This session will include papers on materials and processes for water purification and desalination enabled by electrochemistry, membrane separation, adsorption, evaporation, and/or microorganisms. Water contaminants of interest include but are not limited to, nutrients, heavy metals, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), and microcystins. Studies looking into various aspects of water desalination such as the use of renewable energy, brine management, and process energy integration are of interest.
