Bioseparations: Materials and Molecules I

Co-chair(s)

Ramesh, S., North Carolina State University
Boi, C., Università Di Bologna

Separation of biomolecules is pivotal in several areas, including gene therapy, vaccines, drug delivery, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Authors are invited to submit abstracts focusing on new materials for bioseparations and next-generation biomolecules. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: novel materials for bioseparations, including chromatography, electrophoresis, filtration, extraction, and cellular separations; membrane-based separations, nanotechnology-enabled biomolecule separation, molecular recognition and affinity chromatography. Emerging trends and future directions in biomolecule separation technologies for next-generation therapeutics, including proteins (bispecific antibodies, therapeutic enzymes, CRISPR-Cas nucleases), viral vectors (AAV and other VLPs) for gene therapy, and cells (stem cells, engineered T cells, etc.).
