Flaring as a means of both disposal and safety is an essential process safety operation in hydrocarbon processing facilities. Effective flaring management enables safe and controlled incineration of hydrocarbons. It also can improve the economics of a facility while also meeting carbon emissions reduction mandates. In this workshop, we look at how hydrocarbon processing facilities can improve flare management practices to maximize hydrocarbon recovery, minimize carbon emissions, reduce operating costs associated with continuous flaring and enhance a facility's overall process safety position.
