(65b) Sensor-Agnostic Data Platforms – Enabling Best-in-Class Monitoring Solutions

Authors

Growing as a team in the world of sensor technologies, we realize that for a single process application there are many variables to monitor and multiple manufacturers available in the market. Too often we have found the most appropriate sensor technology to measure recommended and desired variables but have faced challenges of integrating into existing data collection and control systems. Diverse teams of select expertise could be spread geographically and organizationally to challenge the required and triggered strategies and action plans.

This presentation will focus on integrating the most adequate sensing technology with a sensor-, vendor-, protocol-agnostic visualization and alert platform. Combined with highest standards of customizable UX/UI (user experience and user interface) design and cyber security, adequate sensing solutions transform into the required data collection tool to bridge any field challenges of accessibility, data acquisition, and calibration. Key benefits to users are furthermore resilience and five 9’s (99.999 percent) data availability accomplished through system redundancy.

Multiple case studies will dive into how input from several different sensors and datasets is consolidated and developed into a customized and alerted interface. Programming and behind-the-scenes interactions will be shared.
