This session explores improving petrochemical processing through using data analytics, simulation, and fundamental principles to increase throughput, yield and equipment availability. Distillation issues will be explored by looking at techniques being utilized to increase efficiency and troubleshoot distillation column control. Equipment reliability improvement will be explored through multivariate analysis and other predictive maintenance techniques. Alarm management to smooth operations will be illustrated and examples of applying AI/ML data analytics to improve operational performance will be discussed.
