James Brigman

James (“Jim”) Brigman is a Managing Director and Principal of Ingenero. He is one of the three equal partners in ownership and executive status that run Ingenero. Jim is based in Ingenero’s Houston headquarters. Ingenero provides world-class digitalization software, process engineering and operations support services to the process industry (i.e. primarily petrochemical and refineries). Jim helped develop this ISO 9001 certified, registered Professional Engineering firm with offices in the US, India, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar that through its technology, personnel and processes provides the highest standard of engineering at the lowest costs. Jim has helped Ingenero implement its big data approach of applying simulation and detailed statistical data analytics to consistently and significantly increase its clients’ operating performance. Jim is a registered Professional Engineer. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University and a MBA from Harvard. Background: • Jim started his career as an engineer with Solvay and became a Sr. Process Engineer and Unit Manager. By applying statistical process control and corresponding operational guidelines, he was able to increase the sodium carbonate peroxyhydrate unit’s production by 50%. • After receiving his MBA from Harvard, Jim worked in management consulting for Booz-Allen & Hamilton in their management strategy group for Energy and Chemicals companies and then in investment banking for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (raising debt and equity capital and facilitating mergers and acquisition process for Oil &Gas majors) and Kilimanjaro Partners (an investment banking and start-up incubation firm). • Ingenero was one of the companies incubated by Kilimanjaro Partners. Jim joined as an equal owner with the existing two owners to orchestrate a MBO from its private equity owners and continue to build the world’s best process engineering firm for applying data analytics and simulation to manufacturing operations for operational excellence.
