Wendy Young is AIChE’s Senior Director of the Institute for Learning & Innovation (ILI). In this role, she leads the business units responsible for Education/Workforce Development and Membership/Career Services. By promoting career discovery, skills development, practice plus (ex. internships) and certifications, the ILI is positioned to provide value to chemical engineers throughout all stages of their careers – from the classroom to the boardroom.

Patrick Bastek is Sr. Director for Gene Therapy Process Development at Pfizer where he leads teams to develop drug substance manufacturing processes.  The team develops and transfers processes and technologies to enable clinical and commercial-scale manufacturing while seeking to increase productivity and consistency to enable this emerging modality.
