Melissa Mauro (Spinelli) is a network strategy engineer in the Future of Heat Engineering Dept. of National Grid, specializing in gas quality, odorization, and renewable energy. She was a chapter co-lead in the 2017 revision of the American Gas Association (AGA) Odorization Manual, and she is a key contributor to the Natural Gas Association (NGA) Interconnect Guide for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) in New York State. Jacob Albrecht, PhD, is currently Director of Benchmarking and Data Challenges at Sage Bionetworks, focused on enabling the evaluation of biomedical tools and algorithms. He received a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a BS from the Univ. of Nebraska-Lincoln, both in chemical engineering. Previously, he was an associate director in pharmaceutical development at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). He has championed the adoption of modern approaches to data science and machine learning both within BMS and through pharmaceutical industry consortia.Read more
